The series exists to examine the transition from multiple perspectives—not only the development of new regulatory frameworks, but also how those changes are understood, interpreted and implemented by the organisations expected to work with them.

As digital systems begin to reshape waste management, understanding the transition involves examining not only regulatory requirements, but also how these changes translate into everyday practice across the industry.

The Digital Waste Transition Series was created to document the UK's move towards digital waste tracking and explore the changes taking place across regulation, technology and industry operations.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

The Digital Waste Transition series was founded by Roda Sharif with an interest in understanding how emerging digital systems reshape industries and the people working within them.

Throughout research, documentation and conversations with industry participant, the series explores the practical realities behind major operational change.

The aim is to help bridge the space between regulatory developments and the operational experiences of those responsible for implementing them.
